S’more cupcakes (my own recipe!)

So I took my “Little helper” to the store and we were both hungry (big mistake!) She talked me into buying a box of cake mix… once we got home I looked in my drawer at work to see if I could take a normal box cake and turn it into my own creation… that’s when I created this masterpiece. I’m sure others have made this but I’ve never had one and I didn’t snag this from anyone.

You will need:
1 box chocolate cake mix. We chose cripple chocolate, but any chocolate would do. (I used 2 but needed to make a bunch…)

image

1 container marshmallow goo

image

1/2 or 1/4 stick butter

image

1 container frosting (or make your own…)

image

1 sleeve Graham crackers

Instructions:
Pre-heat oven according to box
Prep cupcake pan to your preference
Mix cake mix according to box (or make your own.)
Mash 1/2 the package of Graham crackers… I used our food processor
Melt your butter, and mix with Graham cracker crumbs
Line the bottom your cupcake liners or tin with Graham cracker mixture.

I put about 1 spoonful in each liner
Once all liners have crumbs WASH YOUR HANDS, then you’re going to flatten the crumbs. Should look like the photo below:

Now spoon in your batter… but only a little, this is only half your cupcake

Next spoon a small amount of marshmallow goo

Now put a little more batter on top

Now place in oven and bake according to directions/a toothpick test shows they’re done.

Let them cool and then frost them. You could add a piece of Graham cracker to the top or Graham cracker crumbs.

Finished product:

Did you make these? Send me a photo, I’d love to see how they turned out! 🙂
